If your serial number begins with 23 or 24 followed by a B, D, E, G or H, AND you have a tracking device fitted, here's what to do next:
Customer Instructions
-
Check if your AED is part of those that are being recalled
-
Once you have your correct serial number/s from your AED/s, go to this website and scroll to the bottom of the page. Enter your serial number in the box and hit enter, then wait for a result to be shown below the box.
-
A result of "N/A" means that your AED is NOT subject to the recall.
-
If your serial number is displayed below the box in which you entered your serial number, then that confirms it is subject to the recall.
-
Continue to Use: Stryker has advised that customers should keep their current HeartSine AEDs in service until replacement units are provided.

-
Replacement Process: Stryker will contact you and issue replacement HeartSine AEDs to customers when new units become available, anticipated in Q4 2025.
-
Remove the tracker BEFORE sending your AED back to Stryker if they ask for it to be returned. For instructions on how to do this, click here
-
DO NOT reinstall the tracking device onto the AED when you receive your new AED from Stryker - simply place it in the rear compartment of the carry case.
-
Incorrect installation of the tracking device may render the AED inoperable and may void the warranty on the AED.
-
If you wish to secure the tracking device to the AED it is your decision and at your risk. After installing the PadPak, please turn on the AED and confirm that it talks to you.
-
If you would like further information about the AED recall - not regarding tracking devices - please visit this site, hosted by Stryker, or contact them directly:

Removing your tracking device from your AED
Step 1 - take the AED out of its carry case.
Step 2 - turn the AED over.
Step 3 - using a pair of side cutters, pliers or scissors, cut the cable ties that hold the tracking device to the AED.
Step 4 - hold the black tracking device in your hand, and gently rock it back and forwards. Increase the force until you feel it moving more, and eventually, you will hear the glue that is holding onto the AED "crack" and break.

Step 5 - place the tracking device somewhere safe until your new AED arrives from Stryker.

Step 6 - when your new tracking device arrives, place it in the rear compartment of your AED.
